The 'Quick Messages' module is the module through which parents can get in touch with the institution and vice versa.
The institution also has the option to activate a feature in the 'Quick Messages' module that allows parents to select individual recipients (a useful option for school-type institutions).
Viewing the Quick Messages module from an institution's account:
When a teacher/manager wants to compose a message, they must click the 'Compose' button.
Once this button is pressed, a window for entering the message appears. Initially, the Send button is inactive, but once the message type is selected → the recipient is chosen and the message text is entered → the Send button becomes active.
When selecting the message type, the user has three options:
Simple Message
Alert (where the message is displayed in a red frame)
Reminder (used to remind the recipient of something)
When selecting the recipient, the following window will open, offering several options:
Send the message only to the child’s family
Send the message to the child’s family and to the institution staff responsible for the child whose family is receiving the message
Also, in the list of children, you may notice that some of them cannot be selected. If you encounter this issue, the reason is that the respective family is not active (the parents need to activate their Kindepedia account).
And if the above button is activated, the selection options will differ slightly, giving you the possibility to send the message in the following ways:
Only to parents
Only to students
To the student and their family (in addition to the parents, other family members—such as grandparents—will also receive the message)
You can also filter by message type using the list shown in the image below:
