The Assignments module brings together the assignments you give to students and the work they send back to you. Each assignment is linked to an activity in the Activity Calendar (for example Biologie, Clasa a VII-a, Friday 10:00), so the discipline and the class must already exist in the timetable.
The order of work: add the assignment (from the Assignments module or from the calendar), follow who handed it in, then review it or mark it as verified.

1. How do I open the Assignments module?
In the left menu, click Assignments. The page has two tabs:
Submitted by students: the work students sent, with the status of each;
Assigned by Teachers: the assignments you gave to students.
2. How do I add an assignment from the Assignments module?
Assignments › Assigned by Teachers › New Assignment
Open the Assigned by Teachers tab and click the green New Assignment button at the top right.
The Planned Activities window opens, with the lessons in the timetable. Type the name of the discipline in the search field and click New Assignment next to the lesson and class you want.
In the Assignment Instructions window, fill in:
Visible to students from: from when students see the assignment. By default it is the current date and time;
Deadline: the date and time by which students must hand in the assignment. Choose the day in the calendar, then the time;
Assignment Description: the task;
Block submission after deadline: if you turn it on, students can no longer send the assignment after the deadline;
Attachments: with Upload file you attach the worksheet or other materials.
Don't forget to click Save.
Tip: if you choose a day in the future under Visible to students from, the assignment appears under Scheduled Assignments and students see it only from the chosen date. This way you can prepare assignments in advance.
3. How do I add an assignment from the calendar?
Activity Calendar › Calendar › activity › Assignments
You can also add an assignment from the calendar. Open Activity Calendar, the Calendar tab, and click the activity you want.
In the activity details, on the Assignments row, click New Assignment. The same Assignment Instructions window opens as in section 2.
After saving, the Assignments row shows the deadline and the description, and the button becomes View Assignment. With it you open the assignment details, where you can edit or delete it.
4. How do I see the assignments I gave?
Assignments › Assigned by Teachers
In the Assigned by Teachers tab you can filter by Assignment publish date and Groups. The three cards split the assignments like this:
Past Assignments: the deadline has passed;
Upcoming Assignments: the deadline hasn't passed yet. This is the filter shown by default;
Scheduled Assignments: the assignment isn't available to students yet (the Visible to students from date is in the future).
The Submitted by students column shows how many students handed the assignment in out of the whole class (for example 0 / 12). With clear selection you see all assignments. Use PRINT, PDF, CSV and XLS to print or export the list.
5. How do I edit or delete an assignment?
Assignments › Assigned by Teachers › Assignment
In the Assigned by Teachers list, click the Assignment button under the publish date (or View Assignment in the calendar). In the Assignment Instructions window you have, at the top right, the edit button (pencil) and the delete button (bin).
When you edit, the assignment form opens. Change what you need and click Save.
When you delete, confirm with Delete.
6. How do I see which students handed in the assignment?
Assignments › Assigned by Teachers › Submitted by students column
Click the number in the Submitted by students column (for example 0 / 12). The list of all students in the class opens, with the status of each: Not handed in for those who haven't handed it in, Handed In, Revised and so on. Click the status to open the student's work.
7. How do I see the assignments submitted by students?
Assignments › Submitted by students
The Submitted by students tab brings together the work sent by students for all disciplines. You can filter by Submitted on and Groups, and the cards filter by status:
Handed In: sent on time and not reviewed yet;
Delayed: sent after the deadline;
Revised: you sent the reviewed work back to the student;
Verified: you marked the work as verified, without a review.
The list can be printed or exported (PRINT, PDF, CSV, XLS). To open a student's work, click its status in the Status column.
8. How do I review an assignment in the platform?
Assignments › Submitted by students › Status › Handed In
Once you open the work, the Handed In tab shows the submission date and the student's files (photos, documents or audio recordings). Use the green button to download a file. To review it in the platform, click Review next to it.
The editor opens. With the tools in the bar on the left you can draw with the pen (for example tick the correct answers or cross out mistakes), add shapes, icons and text, crop, rotate the image or apply filters.
When you're done, click Save and Send. The reviewed work reaches the student and the status becomes Revised. With Close you leave the editor without saving.
9. How do I upload a reviewed assignment as a file?
Assignments › Submitted by students › Status › Homework Revision
If you reviewed the work outside the platform, open the Homework Revision tab and click Upload file. Here you also find the work reviewed in the editor, named “corectată: …”, which you can download or delete.
10. How do I mark an assignment as verified, without a review?
Assignments › Submitted by students › Status › Homework Revision
If the work doesn't need a review, open the Homework Revision tab and turn on Verified homework. The status becomes Verified.
11. How do I talk to students about an assignment?
Assignments › Submitted by students › Status
There are two kinds of comments:
Private comments (student-teacher comments): on the right of the window with the student's work. Only that student sees the messages;
Class comments (all students and teachers in the class): in the Assignment Instructions tab (and in the assignment details in Assigned by Teachers). All students who received the assignment see them.
Write your message in the Your comment… field and click +.
