The Custom Reporting module brings the school's reports together in one place: each student's attendance and hours, attendance and grades per activity, teacher activities, video conferences and the student list. Most reports can be filtered and exported.

1. Which reports are in Custom Reporting?
Custom Reporting
Click Custom Reporting in the left menu. Here you will find:
Daily Check-in Report: arrivals, late arrivals, absences and hours of attendance for each student, plus indicators for the whole school;
Activities Attendance: attendance for each activity or subject in the timetable;
Grades & Badges: the grades and badges given in activities;
Teachers Activity: the activities held by each teacher;
Video Conference: the conferences hosted through Zoom;
Children: the list of students, with their details, filters and export.
Tip: The monthly attendance report per class (present, approved and unapproved absences) and the daily arrival and departure times are in the Daily Reports and Timeline module. See the guide Daily Reports and Timeline.
2. How do I see each student's attendance for a period?
Custom Reporting › Daily Check-in Report › Consolidated
Open Daily Check-in Report. In the Consolidated tab, choose the period in the calendar. You can also use the ready-made ranges: Last 7 days, Last 14 days, Last 30 days, This month, Last month. Click Apply.
Choose the class from All classes and, if you want, one student from All children. Click Apply. For each student you see:
Days Attended: the days the student was present;
P (On Time): the days the student arrived on time;
L (Late): the days the student arrived late;
U (LARC): the days the student arrived after the registers were closed;
Days Of Absence: the days of absence;
Hours Attended: the total time spent at school (from check-in to check-out).
Clear removes the filters. Click a column header to sort the list.
Note! Hours are counted only for the days when the student also has a Check-Out. If only the arrival is recorded, the day shows 0 hours.
3. How do I see a student's full report?
Custom Reporting › Daily Check-in Report › Full Report
Click Full Report next to the student. The student's report opens for the chosen period, with indicators such as attendance rate, days attended and absent, on-time and late arrivals, the longest and shortest day, the average check-in and check-out time, and a chart by day of the week.
You can change the period at the top right and download the report with Export. Use the arrow left of the title to go back to the list.
4. How do I choose the columns and export the report?
Custom Reporting › Daily Check-in Report › Columns / Export
The 8/8 Columns button shows the list of columns. Untick the columns you don't want to see. The Student column always stays.
Click Export. In the Export Attendance Report window you can change the title, filter by keyword, and choose the sorting and the columns. On the right you see a preview (Content, PDF, XLS, CSV). Download with Download PDF, Download XLS or Download CSV.
5. How do I set the time after which an arrival counts as late?
Custom Reporting › Daily Check-in Report › Settings
Click Settings. In the Attendance Settings window you set:
Late threshold (L): a check-in before this time is on time (P). From this time on, the arrival counts as late (L);
Registers closed threshold (U): a check-in at or after this time counts as arriving after the registers were closed (U);
Hide weekend days: hides weekend days from the reports. Below, choose which days are the school's weekend days.
Click Save.
Note! These settings apply to all the reports in this module, for the whole school.
6. How do I see the school's attendance statistics?
Custom Reporting › Daily Check-in Report › Dashboard
In the Dashboard tab, choose the period and, if you want, a class, then click Apply. In School Overview you see the attendance rate, the number of students, the days of absence, on-time and late arrivals, the average check-in and check-out time and the total hours. Below, the Attendance by Weekday chart shows attendance by day of the week, and on the right you see the day with the most late arrivals and the day with the best attendance.
7. How do I add holidays to the attendance report?
Custom Reporting › Daily Check-in Report › Holidays
In the Holidays tab, add the days when the school is closed. These days are left out of the attendance statistics and show as "Holiday" in the reports. Click Add Holiday, fill in Name (for example "Winter break") and Period, then click Add.
8. How do I see attendance per activity and subject?
Custom Reporting › Activities Attendance
Open Activities Attendance. Choose the period (Select period), the class (Select Group) and the subject (Select Activity), then click Filter. The Display weekend days also switch adds Saturdays and Sundays.
The totals are at the top: Total Attendance, All absences, Approved Absences, Unapproved absences. The table shows, day by day, the attendance and absences of each class.
Click a class name to see each student: the green tick means present, and the red icon means absent.
9. How do I see grades and badges?
Custom Reporting › Grades & Badges
The Grades & Badges report has the same filters as Activities Attendance. Click a class name: for each day you see the grades or badges given to students in the chosen activity.
Tip: Grades are given from the Activity Calendar or the Gradebook.
10. How do I see the activities held by each teacher?
Custom Reporting › Teachers Activity
Open Teachers Activity. Choose the period, the teacher (Teachers) and the class (Select Group), then click Filter. For each activity, the table shows the date, the start and end time, the duration, the class, the subject, the price, whether it was a video conference and the attendance (present / absent / total).
Use View to choose the columns shown. The report can be printed (PRINT) or downloaded as PDF, CSV or XLS.
11. How do I see video conferences?
Custom Reporting › Video Conference
The Video Conference report is built from the Zoom video conferences hosted through Kinderpedia. Choose the period and the teacher, then click Filter. For each conference you see the topic, the email, the start, the end, the duration and the participants. The report can be printed or exported (PDF, CSV, XLS).
Note! The report shows data only if teachers have their Zoom account connected to Kinderpedia.
12. How do I make a list of students and their details?
Custom Reporting › Children
Open Children. Children reports opens: a table with all students, with last name, first name, role number, client code, age, email, gender, class, optional groups, parents and other details, including custom fields.
From the list at the top left, choose which students are shown: Enrolled children, Active/confirmed KP accounts, Unregistered KP accounts or Archived accounts.
Each column has a funnel icon that opens a filter: for example, on Class choose a class and click Filter. Reset filters brings back the full list, and 39/39 Columns lets you choose the columns. Download the list with Export.
Tip: From the ⋮ menu next to the title, choose Switch back to old version to open the previous version of the report.
